The Government of India announced an important change of the India service tax effective January 22,2017. The INDIA SERVICE TAX in applicable for sea freight and related freight charges for import shipments destined to India. The service tax rate of 4,5 % is applicable for freight prepaid shipments and is payable along with the sea freight outside of India.
